Included
Five nights, all inter-island boat transfers, an English-speaking local guide, fort and plantation entry, the Gunung Api hike guide, breakfast daily and lunch on activity days.
Fixed itinerary · 6 days, 5 nights
Forts, a working nutmeg estate, a full day under water and the Gunung Api sunrise — without rushing, and without committing a whole week. Built as one continuous trip, private boat transfers included.
Indicative as of 2026. Ambon flights are not included.
The 6D5N package sits between the 5-day and 7-day trips: it keeps the fort day, the plantation day, the dive or snorkel day and the volcano morning all intact, and cuts one day off the full week.
Day by day
A fixed plan rather than a menu. Days can be swapped for weather, and we will tell you when they need to be.
Day 1
Flight or ferry across from Ambon, check in, and an orientation walk through Banda town to get your bearings before the schedule starts.
Day 2
Fort Belgica, Fort Nassau, the old Dutch quarter and the nutmeg warehouses that once anchored the global spice trade.
Day 3
Boat across to a working perkenier estate: harvest and processing walkthrough, then lunch on the island.
Day 4
Full-day private charter to the reefs off Ai, Run or Hatta, with the surface interval and lunch taken on the water.
Day 5
Pre-dawn start for the summit, then an afternoon stop at Pulau Ai or Pulau Hatta depending on the sea.
Day 6
A free morning in Banda town, then the transfer back to Ambon.
Outer-island days (Hatta, Run) are sea-dependent. In the rough window (Jun–Aug) they are the first thing to move.
The fine print
Read this before comparing the price against another operator — most of the gap is here.
Five nights, all inter-island boat transfers, an English-speaking local guide, fort and plantation entry, the Gunung Api hike guide, breakfast daily and lunch on activity days.
Flights to Ambon and the Ambon–Banda leg, dinners outside listed activities, dive certification and gear rental, personal expenses, travel insurance.
Boat access to the reef on Day 4 is in the base price. Tank, weights and a certified dive guide are quoted separately, because not everyone in a group dives.
The indicative band assumes 4–6 travellers. Solo and two-person bookings carry a higher per-person rate, since boat and guide cost is shared across fewer people.
Five covers the essentials but rushes the outer islands; seven is more than many travellers can give one leg of an Indonesia trip. Six keeps the fort, plantation, dive and volcano days intact and drops one day from the full week.
Ambon (AMQ) is the gateway. From there it is a charter flight of about 45–60 min, a seasonal fast boat of 5–6 h, or the Pelni ferry at 8–10 h on a multi-week rotation. None of them runs daily, so we time the Ambon arrival around whichever is actually operating.
Boat access to the reef on Day 4 is included. Certified diving — tank, weights, dive guide — and any course are quoted as an add-on. Snorkelling-only groups use the same boat day at no extra charge.
Oct–Apr gives the calmest crossings, the clearest water for Day 4 and the best odds of a clear summit view on Day 5. Jun–Aug is the southeast monsoon and we will say so if your dates fall in it.
Indicatively USD 650–950 per person for a group of 4–6, higher per person for solo or two-person bookings, depending on room category and whether Day 4 includes certified diving. That range excludes flights to Ambon and the Ambon–Banda leg.
